On June 20, 2012, Wilson Furniture was invited to the UOIT Donor Wall Unveiling. Attending was Jory Sherman (L) Darryl Sherman (M) and Darryl's wife Louise Parkes (R). In 2003, Wilson's created the first endowment at the new University in honour of the 50th Anniversary of Helen and Bob Sherman. The family has always encouraged and supported furthering education, community service and leadership.
This Endowment provides an ongoing scholarship bursary for first year Students of the the Faculty of Business at UOIT.
The senior Shermans were the 2nd generation owners of Wilson Furniture. Today Jory and Darryl carry on the 3rd generation Wilson Furniture tradition .
Louise Parkes was also honoured as she created her own endowment in memory of her late mother Marjory F Parkes.
